PMA plans to mark the 400 year anniversary of the KJV Bible Publication . . .

Picture
Beginning on Thursday, December 1st and running until the start of the annual "Christmas at the Square," the PMA is sponsoring a complete read through the King James Version Bible at the public square in downtown Perry.  This year marks the 400 year anniversary of the famous Bible's publication and in honor of this important event, the PMA is requesting that churches and citizens work together and volunteer 15 to 30 minute integrals to publicly read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation without stopping.  The reading will begin at a 2 PM on December 1st and will continue for approximately 76 hours straight until the whole Bible is read. If you or your church would like to sign up for a time slot to participate, please click the logo for more information and volunteer opportunities.

"Christmas at the Square" is the next PMA community event.  The special time is scheduled for Sunday evening, December 4th in front of the old courthouse.  We will light the square's Christmas tree and other Christmas lights and enjoy a time of singing and a telling of the Christmas story together as a community.  Booths will be set up by churches and organizations handing out free coffee, hot chocolate, cookies, and other goodies.  The annual event will start at 5:30 PM with singing from local choirs and the service itself will begin at 6:00 PM.  Make your plans to be at this year's "Christmas at the Square!"
